The task is to reconstruct a full valid final scoreboard per team, meaning for every problem we must assign a consistent final state: no submissions, only failed submissions, or a successful solve with a specific accepted attempt index and time. This reconstructed scoreboard must agree with both the frozen partial information and the final (solved count, penalty time).
The constraints matter heavily: m is at most 13, which is small enough to allow exponential reasoning over subsets of problems per team, while n can be large, so each team must be processed independently with a relatively heavy but bounded state space per team.
A naive reconstruction would try to enumerate full submission sequences for each problem and match both frozen constraints and final totals. That quickly becomes infeasible because each problem can have many possible submission patterns and acceptance positions.
A more subtle difficulty is that the last hour ambiguity makes different reconstructed histories produce the same frozen view but different contributions to final score. This creates a constrained assignment problem across problems, because the total solved count and total penalty couple the per-problem choices.
Edge cases that commonly break naive approaches include:
- Problems marked unsolved in frozen data but required to be solved by final stats. For example, if frozen says “- x” but final ai forces it to be solved, the reconstruction must introduce a valid acceptance after time 240 that does not contradict frozen counts of last-hour submissions.
- Problems marked solved in frozen input with fixed accepted index and time, but whose implied penalty makes the total sum impossible unless other problems adjust their solved/unsolved choices.
- Last-hour ambiguity where multiple distributions of submissions across problems yield identical frozen signatures but different final penalty contributions, requiring careful state compression.
The key difficulty is that each problem contributes a discrete structure, but the global constraints couple them tightly.
Approaches
A brute-force approach would treat each problem independently, enumerating all valid interpretations of its frozen description: whether it is solved or not, and if solved, which submission is accepted and when. For each configuration, we compute its contribution to solved count and penalty. Since each problem has O(100) possible submission indices and time placements, this already gives roughly O(10^2) states per problem. Across m up to 13 problems, the total combinations become roughly 10^(2m), which is astronomically large.
The failure point is the coupling constraint: we must pick exactly ai solved problems and achieve total penalty bi. So we are selecting one state per problem under a global knapsack-like constraint. The brute force becomes a combinatorial explosion.
The key observation is that m is small, so each problem can be reduced to a small set of feasible “profiles”, and we can do a meet-in-the-middle style or subset DP over problems. Each profile encodes whether the problem is solved and what penalty it contributes. The frozen scoreboard restricts which profiles are valid per problem, often collapsing possibilities dramatically.
Once each problem has a list of valid states, we run a DP over problems where the state is (i, number_of_solved, total_penalty) and we check feasibility. Because ai ≤ 13 and bi ≤ 1e5, a naive 3D DP is too large, but we can compress using bitsets or hash maps per number of solved problems.
The structure is essentially a multiple-choice knapsack with small item count (m ≤ 13), where each item (problem) has few valid options due to frozen constraints.

Algorithm Walkthrough
We process each team independently.
- For each problem, enumerate all consistent interpretations with the frozen scoreboard.
Each interpretation decides whether the problem is solved, and if solved, determines the accepted attempt index and penalty contribution. The frozen information either fixes parts of this or restricts them heavily. For example, if the input already gives “+ x/y”, then the problem is forced solved with that exact structure. 2. For each problem, store a list of candidate states in the form (is_solved, penalty_contribution, reconstructed_output_string).
This reduces each problem to a small menu of options rather than a sequence reconstruction problem. 3. Run dynamic programming over problems. We maintain a map dp[k] where k is the number of solved problems, and each entry stores reachable penalty sums and parent pointers to reconstruct the solution. Initially dp[0][0] is reachable. 4. For each problem, update the DP by trying all its candidate states. If a state is unsolved, it keeps k unchanged; if solved, it increases k by 1 and adds penalty. We merge transitions carefully to avoid overwriting valid reconstructions. 5. After processing all problems, we check whether dp[ai] contains bi. If not, output No. 6. Otherwise reconstruct by backtracking stored choices to assign a valid state to each problem.
The key implementation difficulty is correctly interpreting the frozen input into valid candidate states. Each line type imposes constraints:
A solved line fixes acceptance position and time exactly.
A “- x” line means no acceptance before last hour and exactly x submissions before last hour, so we must ensure any reconstructed solved version respects that structure.
A “? x y” line introduces ambiguity in last-hour submissions but still constrains total submission counts.
Why it works
Each problem contributes independently except for the global constraints on solved count and total penalty. By converting each problem into a finite set of feasible profiles consistent with frozen constraints, we reduce the problem into selecting exactly one profile per problem. The DP guarantees that every reachable (solved_count, penalty_sum) corresponds to a valid combination of independent problem decisions. Since all constraints per problem are enforced locally, any DP path corresponds to a globally consistent reconstruction, and vice versa.

A subtle issue is interpreting “?” lines. The real constraint is that last-hour submissions must be placed in [240, 299], and counts must match frozen information. The solution uses a canonical assignment for solvable cases rather than enumerating all valid placements, relying on the fact that only existence matters, not uniqueness.
Another delicate point is avoiding explosion in dp size. Since m is at most 13, the number of subsets is bounded, and pruning by only storing reachable (k, penalty) pairs keeps it manageable.

Edge Cases
A key edge case is when a problem is shown as unsolved in the frozen data but the final required solved count forces it to be solved. In such a case, the DP must still allow constructing a hypothetical acceptance after time 240 that does not violate frozen counts of submissions. The algorithm handles this by allowing both solved and unsolved interpretations for “?” type entries, ensuring feasibility is explored.
Another edge case is when all problems are forced unsolved except the required number of solved problems exceeds zero. Then dp will never reach ai and correctly outputs No.
A third edge case is tight penalty matching. If all per-problem penalties are too large or too small relative to bi, DP will not contain bi at the correct solved count, preventing invalid reconstructions even when frozen constraints alone would allow many configurations.
