Algorithm Walkthrough

- moves into Bob’s forced window, ending the game, or
- returns to a safe region where Alice can again delay capture.

Why it works
The invariant is that after every full round of optimal play, the only meaningful state is whether the green card lies within the first k positions of the current deck orientation controlled by Bob, or outside it under Alice’s control.
