The key observation comes from the monotonic structure of the array. Since a[i] >= a[i+1], large values appear first, and later values are smaller or equal. Instead of simulating every query independently, we reinterpret the process as repeatedly “jumping” over blocks whose sums reach x. The number of resets is equivalent to how many disjoint segments of the range can be greedily packed under capacity x.

Algorithm Walkthrough

We preprocess prefix sums of the array, since all range sums can be derived quickly. The main challenge is handling repeated “fill until overflow then reset” operations.
