Problem Understanding
We process a sequence of turns. The current score starts at 0.
At turn i, we are given two possible transformations:
If we take the red card, the new score becomes

We must choose exactly one transformation at every turn. After all n turns, we want the largest final score that can be achieved.
The most direct interpretation is that every turn applies one of two affine transformations to the current score. The difficulty is that the choice made now changes the score seen by all future turns.
The constraint that matters is the total n across all test cases being at most 10^5. Any algorithm that explores all possible decision sequences is impossible because there are 2^n different ways to choose cards. Even O(n^2) would be unnecessary here when a linear solution is possible. We should expect a dynamic programming or greedy observation that compresses the state dramatically.
A subtle aspect of the problem is that scores may become negative, and both a[i] and b[i] may also be negative. Any reasoning that assumes scores always increase will fail.
Consider:

The two possible final scores are -5 and -10, so the answer is -5.
Another easy mistake is assuming that keeping only the largest score after each turn is enough.

A third pitfall is integer overflow in languages with fixed-width integers. Scores can accumulate changes over up to 10^5 turns, each involving values up to 10^9. The answer can easily exceed 32-bit range. Python handles this automatically, but C++ solutions must use long long.
Approaches
A brute-force solution tries both card choices at every turn.
Starting from score 0, each turn doubles the number of reachable scores. After n turns there can be up to 2^n states. The brute-force is correct because it explicitly examines every possible play sequence, but for n = 100000 it is hopelessly large.
To find a better approach, we need to understand how a turn transforms a set of possible scores.
Suppose before a turn the set of reachable scores is S.
For any score x in S, the two transitions are:
x - a[i]
b[i] - x
Both are linear functions of x.
We are only interested in the maximum achievable score after all turns. This suggests tracking some summary of the reachable set rather than the entire set.
The key observation is that if the reachable scores before a turn form an interval [mn, mx], then applying either transformation to every value in that interval produces another interval.
For the red operation:
x -> x - a[i]

Why it works
The invariant is that after processing any prefix of turns, every reachable score lies inside the interval [mn, mx], and every value inside that interval is reachable.
The base case is immediate because the initial reachable set is {0}.
Assume the invariant holds before a turn. Applying the red operation to the whole interval produces one interval, and applying the blue operation produces another interval. These two intervals always overlap, so their union is itself an interval. The smallest and largest values in that union are exactly the formulas used for new_mn and new_mx.
Thus the invariant remains true after every turn. At the end, [mn, mx] is exactly the set of all achievable final scores, so the answer is its maximum endpoint mx.

mn and mx represent the smallest and largest reachable scores after the processed prefix. For each turn, we compute the extreme endpoints of the two transformed intervals and update the current interval.
A common implementation mistake is updating mn before computing new_mx. Both formulas must use the previous interval, so temporary variables are required.
Another detail is using integer arithmetic throughout. All transitions are additions and subtractions, so no precision issues arise.
