For a fixed edge u → v, it contributes +1 if the pair is “10”, and -1 if it is “01”, otherwise 0. That means each edge depends only on its two endpoint values. Therefore, each leaf weight is a sum of independent local edge terms.

Now the game becomes a game on vertices where each assignment only influences adjacent edges. This transforms the problem into a constraint propagation game on a tree. Each unknown vertex is effectively a decision point affecting the sign of all incident parent-child edges on paths to leaves.
