The input is a tree on up to 100000 vertices, so any solution must be essentially linear or near linear. Anything that tries to enumerate paths, test decompositions, or repeatedly recompute connectivity will not survive, since even $O(n \log n)$ with heavy constants is already borderline.
A first subtle issue is understanding what “pairwise intersecting paths in a tree” really forces structurally. In a general graph, pairwise intersection does not imply a global intersection point. In a tree, however, paths behave in a much more rigid way. If every pair of simple paths intersects, they must all share at least one common vertex. So the real structure we are trying to build is a decomposition where all paths pass through a single vertex, which acts as a universal intersection point.
A subtle edge case appears when the tree is a path. Then the only valid decomposition is a single path covering all edges. If we incorrectly try to split it into smaller segments, two segments at opposite ends will not intersect, so the answer becomes invalid unless we keep everything in one piece.

Approaches
A brute-force approach would try to enumerate all possible ways of partitioning edges into simple paths and then check the intersection condition. Even ignoring the combinatorial explosion of partitions, the number of ways to split a tree into paths is exponential in the number of edges, since every edge can potentially decide where a path starts or ends. For $n = 10^5$, this is completely infeasible.
The key simplification comes from the intersection constraint. Once we recognize that all paths must share a common vertex $c$, the problem becomes local around that vertex. Every valid path is constrained to pass through $c$, which means every path is composed of two root-to-node segments joined at $c$, or in degenerate form, a single segment starting at $c$.
This turns the problem into understanding how the tree looks when rooted at this special vertex $c$. Each edge is assigned to exactly one path that starts at $c$ and walks down into the tree. Since paths cannot branch, the structure below $c$ must behave like disjoint chains. If any subtree contains a branching node away from $c$, that branching cannot be accommodated in a single simple path without violating edge-disjointness.
So the problem reduces to finding a vertex $c$ such that every connected component of the tree after removing $c$ is a simple path graph. Once such a vertex is found, each component can be traversed as a chain and turned into one path starting at $c$.

Algorithm Walkthrough
We construct the solution by searching for a suitable center vertex and then decomposing the tree around it.
- Iterate over all vertices and consider each as a potential center. For a vertex to be valid, every connected component after removing it must not contain any branching, meaning no node in that component can have degree greater than 2 in the original tree.
- For a chosen candidate vertex $c$, we temporarily ignore it and inspect each neighbor’s subtree. We ensure that within each subtree, every node has at most two incident edges that stay inside that subtree structure. This guarantees that each subtree is a chain rather than a branching structure.
- Once a valid center $c$ is found, we root the tree at $c$ and begin building paths. Each time we enter a neighbor subtree, we follow the unique chain outward until we reach a leaf or a branching boundary, collecting nodes along the way.
- Each such traversal produces one simple path starting at $c$ and extending outward. Since subtrees are chains, this walk is deterministic and covers all edges in that component exactly once.
- We output all such paths. Every edge belongs to exactly one subtree chain, so edge-disjointness is preserved, and every path includes $c$, guaranteeing the required pairwise intersection.
The key invariant is that after selecting a valid center $c$, every connected component of $G - c$ is a path graph. This ensures that each edge in those components belongs to exactly one linear chain starting at $c$, so no branching forces reuse or splitting of paths.
