We are given an array of integers and a value h. Every pair of elements contributes a value depending on whether the two elements are placed into the same group or different groups.
If two numbers a[i] and a[j] belong to the same subsequence, their pair value is:
$$a[i] + a[j]$$
If they belong to different subsequences, the pair value becomes:
$$a[i] + a[j] + h$$
For a chosen partition, we look at every unordered pair and collect all these values. The goodness of the partition is the difference between the largest and smallest pair value. We must minimize this difference and also output one valid partition.
The array size reaches 10^5, so any algorithm that explicitly examines all pairs is impossible. The number of pairs is roughly:
$$\frac{n(n-1)}{2}$$
which is about 5 * 10^9 in the worst case. Even storing all pair values would exceed memory limits.
The input values and h can reach 10^8, so sums fit safely inside 32-bit signed integers, but Python integers remove overflow concerns anyway.
The tricky part is that the partition changes pair values by either adding 0 or adding h. A careless implementation may assume the optimal answer always uses both groups, but that is false.
Consider:

If we split the numbers, the only pair value becomes:
1 + 1000 + 100 = 1101
The maximum and minimum are equal, so goodness is 0.
But if we keep everything together:
1 + 1000 = 1001
The goodness is still 0.
Both are optimal. The problem allows empty subsequences, which matters because sometimes placing everything into one group is best.
Another subtle case appears when h = 0.

Every pair value is simply a[i] + a[j] regardless of partition, so the answer depends only on the array itself. Any partition is optimal. A solution that tries to force meaningful splitting logic may accidentally overcomplicate this case.
The most important edge case is when the smallest and largest elements interact badly.
Example:

If we separate 100 alone, then cross-group pairs gain +2, which may increase the maximum value too much. The optimal strategy depends entirely on controlling the global minimum and global maximum pair sums.
This observation drives the whole solution.
Approaches
The brute-force idea is straightforward. Every element can belong to one of two groups, so there are 2^n possible partitions. For each partition, we could compute all pair values and measure the spread between maximum and minimum.
The correctness is obvious because we check every possible answer. The runtime is catastrophic. Even for n = 30, the number of partitions already exceeds one billion. With n = 10^5, exhaustive search is hopeless.
The next step is to understand what actually determines the minimum and maximum pair values.
Suppose the array is sorted:
$$b_1 \le b_2 \le \dots \le b_n$$
Without any partition effects, the smallest possible pair sum is:
$$b_1 + b_2$$
and the largest is:
$$b_{n-1} + b_n$$
The partition only decides whether a particular pair receives an additional h.
That means every pair value belongs to one of two forms:
$$a_i + a_j$$
or
$$a_i + a_j + h$$
So the global minimum must be either:
$$b_1 + b_2$$
or a slightly larger value if that pair crosses groups.
Similarly, the global maximum is either:
$$b_{n-1} + b_n$$
or larger by h.
The key insight is that only the extreme pairs matter. We do not need to reason about all pairs individually.
There are only two meaningful strategies.
The first strategy keeps every element in the same group. Then every pair value is unchanged, so:
$$\text{goodness} = (b_{n-1} + b_n) - (b_1 + b_2)$$
The second strategy attempts to improve the spread by forcing the smallest pair to receive +h while preventing the largest pair from receiving +h.
To make the smallest pair cross groups, the two smallest elements must be separated.
To keep the largest pair inside one group, the two largest elements must stay together.
After sorting, the only possible cut with this property is:
$${b_1} \quad \text{and} \quad {b_2, b_3, \dots, b_n}$$
or its symmetric equivalent.
Under this partition:
The minimum pair becomes:
$$b_1 + b_2 + h$$
because the two smallest elements are separated.
The maximum pair remains:

If this value becomes negative, that simply means the minimum and maximum swapped roles, so the actual spread is the absolute value.

Why it works
The smallest pair sum in the entire array is always formed by the two smallest elements after sorting. Similarly, the largest pair sum is always formed by the two largest elements.
The partition can only add h to selected pairs. Any attempt to improve the answer must increase the minimum pair value without also increasing the maximum pair value.
The only way to increase the minimum is to separate the two smallest elements. The only way to avoid increasing the maximum is to keep the two largest elements together.
Once the array is sorted, these two requirements uniquely determine the optimal nontrivial partition. Any other partition either leaves the minimum unchanged or increases the maximum unnecessarily.
So the optimum must be one of exactly two candidates, all-in-one-group or isolate-the-smallest.

After sorting, the smallest two elements are at positions 0 and 1, while the largest two are at positions n-2 and n-1.

The variable split_group corresponds to isolating the smallest element. The smallest pair now crosses groups and receives +h, while the largest pair stays unchanged.
The absolute value is the subtle part. Suppose:

array = [1, 2, 3]

smallest cross pair = 103
The spread becomes:
103 - 5 = 98
not 5 - 103.
Finally, we reconstruct the partition. If the trivial partition is optimal, every element gets label 1. Otherwise, only the globally smallest element receives label 1.

Consider the case where all numbers are equal.

Without splitting, every pair value equals 14, so goodness is 0.
If we isolate one element, cross-group pairs become 17, while same-group pairs remain 14. The spread becomes 3.
