The word "ordered" changes the counting significantly. If three points form one geometric triangle, then every permutation of these points counts separately. A single triangle contributes $3! = 6$ ordered triples.

The grid contains $(w+1)(h+1)$ lattice points. With $w,h \le 4000$, the total number of points can exceed 16 million. Any algorithm that explicitly iterates over all triples is hopeless.

A brute-force solution would examine

triples. In the worst case this is around

$$\binom{16,000,001}{3} \approx 6.8 \cdot 10^{20}$$

operations, completely impossible.

The geometry condition also hides a number theory observation. For lattice points, the doubled area of a triangle is always an integer:

The area itself is an integer exactly when this doubled area is even.

There are several edge cases that easily break naive reasoning.

One more tricky situation appears when both coordinates have the same parity pattern. For example:

Many different point triples collapse to the same parity behavior. A direct geometric approach becomes messy, while parity analysis handles it cleanly.

Approaches

The brute-force idea is straightforward. Enumerate every triple of lattice points, compute the triangle area using the determinant formula, reject degenerate triangles, and count those whose area is an integer.

The determinant formula gives twice the signed area:

$$D = x_1(y_2-y_3)+x_2(y_3-y_1)+x_3(y_1-y_2)$$

The triangle is nondegenerate when $D \ne 0$. Its area is an integer when $D$ is even.

This approach is mathematically correct, but computationally useless. Even storing all points is expensive, and enumerating triples is astronomically too slow.

The key observation is that only parity matters.

Reduce every coordinate modulo 2. There are only four parity classes:

Now examine the determinant modulo 2. Since subtraction and addition are identical modulo 2, the determinant becomes:

$$D \equiv x_1(y_2+y_3)+x_2(y_3+y_1)+x_3(y_1+y_2) \pmod 2$$

After simplification, this equals zero exactly when the three parity vectors are linearly dependent over $GF(2)$. In fact, the determinant is odd if and only if the three points belong to all three different nonzero parity differences.

A cleaner geometric interpretation is even simpler:

A lattice triangle has integer area if and only if its three vertices are not distributed among all three different parity classes in the affine sense. Equivalently, the doubled area is odd precisely when the three vertices occupy three distinct parity classes whose xor is nonzero.

Instead of testing geometry directly, we can count all nondegenerate ordered triples and subtract those with half-integer area.

Now another classical fact helps:

For lattice points, the area is half-integer exactly when the three points come from three distinct parity classes.

Since there are only four parity classes, counting becomes purely combinatorial.

We first count every ordered nondegenerate triangle. Then we subtract the bad ones.

The number of ordered triples of distinct points is:

Algorithm Walkthrough

The four classes are:

For each coordinate independently, the number of even and odd values is easy to compute.

Why it works

The determinant formula for twice the area depends only on coordinate parity modulo 2 when we ask whether the area is integer or half-integer.

A triangle has integer area exactly when the determinant is even. Over modulo 2 arithmetic, this parity depends only on which of the four parity classes the vertices belong to.

Checking all parity patterns shows that the determinant is odd exactly when the three points belong to three distinct parity classes. Every other configuration gives even determinant.

Since the property depends only on parity classes, counting reduces from geometry over millions of points to combinatorics over four buckets.

The solution starts by splitting x-coordinates into even and odd counts, and doing the same for y-coordinates. Combining them gives the sizes of the four parity classes.

The helper function c3 computes combinations safely using integer arithmetic. Python integers are arbitrary precision, so overflow is not a concern, but integer division order still matters for correctness.

The variable bad counts unordered triangles with half-integer area. There are only four ways to choose three parity classes out of four, so a tiny loop is enough.

The final multiplication by 6 must happen after subtracting bad configurations. Doing it earlier also works mathematically, but keeping everything in unordered form until the end avoids confusion.

One subtle implementation detail is the parity counting formulas. For coordinates from 0 to w, the number of even values is not w // 2. The coordinate 0 is even and must be included.
