That means any positive integer value is always reachable for any element, and different elements can be made equal or distinct freely at any stage.
So the real constraint is not about arithmetic reachability, but about how many ways we can assign indices over time to match the sequence c, where each stage either assigns one matching index or skips.

Since we can freely force any element to take any required value at any stage, the only meaningful constraint becomes combinatorial: how assignments interact across stages, especially when multiple positions may be reused or newly “activated” to match required values.
The subtlety lies in the fact that assignments are not independent per stage in the naive sense, because using an index once affects how many distinct indices remain available in subsequent stages if we interpret the process as consuming structure. The constraint n, m ≤ 10^4 immediately rules out any DP over subsets or sequences of length exponential in m. Any solution must compress the process into frequency-based reasoning over values 1..50.
A naive interpretation would try to simulate the process stage by stage, tracking all possible assignments of indices, but this would explode combinatorially. The key edge case is when all c[i] are identical: every stage looks interchangeable, but valid arrays differ because repeated assignments interact through reuse of indices.

The brute-force approach attempts to simulate the process explicitly. At each stage, we consider all possible subsets of indices in a that could be transformed to equal c[i], and then optionally choose one of them to assign to b[i]. This leads to a branching factor of roughly O(n) per stage, and over m stages produces O(n^m) possibilities. Even with pruning, the state space is effectively the number of ways to assign indices to time positions, which grows exponentially.
The failure of brute force comes from treating each stage independently. The crucial observation is that because we can arbitrarily reshape a at every stage, the identity of elements is not a limiting factor. What matters is only how many distinct indices are used across assignments, and how these assignments can be reused or introduced.
We can reinterpret the process as follows: each time we assign a non-zero value, we are selecting a “new usage” of one of the n available slots, but values in c impose grouping constraints because identical values behave symmetrically. This reduces the problem to counting ways to distribute occurrences of equal values over available indices, which becomes a combinatorial allocation problem governed by frequencies.
Let freq[x] be how many times value x appears in c. For each value x, we decide how many distinct indices will ever be used to serve occurrences of x. Each such index contributes a sequence of positions where it is used, and the global limit is that total distinct indices used across all values cannot exceed n.
The structure becomes a partitioning problem over all occurrences grouped by value, with binomial choices controlling how indices are introduced across occurrences.
This leads to a DP over values 1..50, tracking how many indices have been consumed so far, and for each value distributing its occurrences among already existing indices or introducing new ones.

Algorithm Walkthrough

Why it works
