Algorithm Walkthrough
- Read the number of test cases. For each test case, read the number of vertices and the edges to construct an adjacency list representing the tree.
- Pick any vertex and perform a BFS to find the farthest vertex from it. This vertex is one endpoint of the tree diameter.
- Perform BFS starting from that endpoint to find the other endpoint of the diameter and the distance to every vertex. Record the parent of each vertex to reconstruct the diameter path.

Why it works: The diameter is only affected by vertices along the longest path. Every operation can only reduce the distance between the endpoints of this path. Vertices of degree two are already aligned along the path and cannot generate a longer diameter elsewhere. Vertices of higher degree represent branches that can be rerooted, each operation collapsing a branch toward an endpoint. Counting such vertices along the diameter gives the exact number of operations needed to minimize the diameter.
