The constraints are large: the total length over all test cases is up to 2·10^5. That rules out any solution that tries all deletions and recomputes feasibility naively in quadratic time. Even O(n^2) per test case is too slow, and even O(n log n) per deletion is unnecessary if we process greedily.
A subtle edge case is when the array is already strictly increasing. We still must delete one element, so we cannot just answer YES immediately. For example, [1, 2, 3] requires removing one element, and any removal keeps it valid. But a careless interpretation might incorrectly assume no operation is needed and return YES without considering constraints of the final length.
Another tricky scenario is when equal elements appear. Since we can increment a subset arbitrarily, duplicates might be resolvable, but only if the structure allows separating them after at most one deletion.
For example:

Removing one element and carefully choosing increments can produce a strictly increasing sequence, even though the original is heavily non-monotone.

Approaches
A brute-force approach would try removing each possible index. For each removed array, we would try to assign +1 operations to a subset of elements so that the resulting sequence becomes strictly increasing. Even if we fix a deletion, deciding which subset to increment is still combinatorial.
If we think more directly, for a fixed deletion and a fixed choice of increments, each element becomes either a[i] or a[i] + 1. This is like choosing a binary state per element under a strict inequality constraint across the sequence. A naive check would be exponential, since each of n−1 elements has two states.
This is where the structure simplifies. We do not actually need to explore all subsets. Instead, we can process the sequence greedily from left to right and maintain the smallest possible value the current element can take while still allowing completion. At each position, we decide whether to use a[i] or a[i] + 1 depending on whether we need to satisfy the strict increase condition.
The deletion complicates things, but we can handle it by trying each possible removed index implicitly using a linear scan and maintaining feasibility information. The key observation is that for any fixed deletion position, feasibility can be checked greedily in O(n), and we can combine this idea with prefix-suffix reasoning so we do not recompute from scratch for every deletion.
The deeper insight is that the problem is equivalent to asking whether there exists a split point where the sequence can be made strictly increasing when each element can be optionally increased by 1, except one removed element. This can be checked by computing forward constraints and backward constraints and testing consistency.
So instead of enumerating subsets or deletions naively, we reduce the problem to checking whether there exists an index whose removal makes the greedy “lifted” sequence valid.

Algorithm Walkthrough
We construct two greedy arrays: one scanning left to right, assuming we always choose the smallest possible lifted value; another scanning right to left to ensure feasibility after a deletion.
- For a fixed position to remove, we want to know whether the remaining sequence can be made strictly increasing using only +1 adjustments. We simulate this by greedily assigning each element either its original value or original+1.
- While processing from left to right, maintain the minimum possible value
curof the last chosen element. For each elementa[i], we consider two candidates:a[i]anda[i] + 1. We pick the smallest candidate strictly greater thancur. If neither works, this configuration fails. - Instead of repeating this simulation for every deletion index, we precompute prefix feasibility. k, we check whether prefix[1..k-1]can connect to suffix[k+1..n]with a valid transition. This requires that the last achievable value in the prefix is strictly less than the first achievable value in the suffix. - If any index satisfies this condition, we return YES; otherwise NO.
Why it works
The algorithm compresses the exponential choice of increment subsets into a greedy choice that always picks the smallest feasible value at each step. This greedy behavior is valid because choosing a larger value than necessary can only make future constraints harder to satisfy, never easier.
