A brute-force approach would try all $2^n$ assignments of roles and verify all $m$ constraints. This is immediately impossible since $n$ can be $2 \cdot 10^5$, making the state space astronomically large.
The key observation is that each connected component is independent: constraints only propagate within connected components. Within one component, we can fix an arbitrary starting node in two possible ways (assign it crewmate or imposter), then propagate constraints using BFS or DFS. If both attempts fail, the component is inconsistent.
Once a valid assignment is found, we want to maximize imposters. This becomes a component-wise optimization: for each connected component, we compute how many imposters appear in each of the two valid colorings (if both are valid), and pick the larger.
The structure is identical to checking bipartite-like constraints but with edge labels modifying whether equality or inequality applies.

Since flipping all bits in a component preserves validity, checking both root assignments explores both possibilities, and taking the maximum counts imposters optimally.
