A direct brute force approach would attempt to enumerate all subsequences and check whether their product is a perfect square. For each subsequence, we factor all elements and check parity of exponents. This already costs O(n) per subsequence in practice, and there are 2^n subsequences, so this is completely infeasible.

Even restricting to small subsequences does not immediately help, since the shortest valid subsequence could be large in pathological cases. The real issue is that we are repeatedly recomputing the same parity interactions between primes.

The key structural insight is that we only care about whether each prime exponent is even or odd. This is a linear condition over GF(2). Each number can be represented as a bitmask where each bit corresponds to the parity of a prime exponent. Multiplying numbers corresponds to XORing masks. Algorithm Walkthrough

We transform each number into a parity mask over primes.

Why it works

Each number contributes independently to the parity vector over primes, so the product being a square is exactly the condition that the XOR of all chosen vectors is zero. Any subsequence corresponds to a walk in this XOR space. The shortest valid subsequence corresponds to the shortest non-trivial way to return to the zero state, which is exactly the shortest cycle or linear dependency among these vectors.
