Each trap sits at a position l. If the group steps onto l while the trap is still active, every soldier with strength strictly less than the trap’s danger value dies immediately. Movement is constrained: the player can move alone or move together with the surviving squad, and moving the squad is only allowed if the next position is safe for all currently alive soldiers with respect to all active traps. Approaches

A more structured brute-force keeps the subset size fixed and assumes we take the strongest x soldiers. This is justified because if a solution works for some set, replacing a soldier with a stronger one never increases danger constraints. Now the problem becomes checking feasibility for a given x.
The key observation is that only soldiers’ minimum agility matters. If we decide to take the x weakest among selected, then the effective threshold is the x-th largest agility. Any trap with d greater than that threshold becomes dangerous. So we only need to consider traps that would kill at least one chosen soldier.
Now the movement problem becomes independent of individual soldiers and depends only on which traps are “active”. We must traverse from 0 to n+1 while occasionally detouring to r positions to disable traps, and ensure that stepping on l is safe unless the trap is already disabled. The cost structure becomes deterministic for a fixed set of active traps.
To evaluate feasibility, we sort traps by position and treat disarm points as required visits. A standard way to model the extra cost is to process traps in order and account for the additional travel needed to visit their r positions before reaching their l positions safely. Algorithm Walkthrough

- The detour cost for each trap can be interpreted as additional back-and-forth movement from the current position to r and back to the main path. We accumulate these costs greedily while tracking the current furthest safe progression.
- The total time is base travel (n+1) plus all detour overhead. If it exceeds t, the chosen x is infeasible.
- Binary search x from 0 to m, keeping the maximum feasible value.
Why it works comes from the fact that once we fix the weakest soldier in the chosen set, the set of dangerous traps is fixed, and the only optimization left is scheduling disarms. Since all movement is on a line, optimal scheduling never requires revisiting a trap r more than once, and processing traps in sorted order ensures no missed mandatory detour. Edge Cases
When all soldiers have very high agility, no trap becomes active for large x, and the algorithm should immediately return m. This checks that the threshold filtering is correct.
