This turns the problem into counting, for every possible center, how many consistent “radial chains” can be formed such that multiple directions from the center behave identically in terms of available collinear extensions.
The input is simply up to 1000 points with integer coordinates, and we must compute the number of valid structures modulo 998244353.
The constraint n ≤ 1000 immediately rules out any cubic or worse enumeration over triples of points. Even O(n^3) would be about 10^9 operations, which is too large. O(n^2 log n) or O(n^2) approaches are the target.

This immediately becomes exponential in the number of points per center. Even if we only try to enumerate subsets of rays, each center has n−1 other points, and subsets of those are 2^(n−1), which is impossible.
The key observation is that everything is governed by geometry relative to a fixed center. For each center C, every other point defines a direction vector (dx, dy). Points lying on the same ray reduce to the same normalized direction after dividing by gcd and fixing sign. Along each direction, points are naturally ordered by distance, and the condition about including all intermediate segment points implies that if we pick a far point on a ray, all closer points on that same ray must also be included.
So instead of thinking in terms of arbitrary subsets, we think in terms of independent “direction chains” from the center. Each direction contributes a sequence of points sorted by distance. The structure of valid constellations reduces to choosing, for each direction, a prefix of its chain, and then synchronizing these prefixes across multiple directions so that each distance layer has equal cardinality across directions.

Algorithm Walkthrough
We fix each point as a potential center and compute contributions independently.
- For a fixed center C, compute direction vectors from C to every other point. Normalize each direction by dividing by gcd(dx, dy) and fixing sign so that identical rays map to the same key. This ensures all collinear points in the same outward direction are grouped correctly.
- For each direction group, sort points by squared distance from C. This produces a chain where each element represents the next star along that ray.
- Let there be k direction groups. For each group i, we can choose how many initial points of its chain are included in a constellation. If we choose t points from a direction, all closer points are implicitly included due to the prefix constraint.
- We now want to combine choices across all directions so that the number of chosen points at each “distance layer” is consistent across directions. This is equivalent to selecting, for each direction, a prefix length, and then counting how many ways we can align these prefix lengths across layers.
- We process directions one by one and maintain a DP where dp[x] represents the number of ways to form a configuration where the current maximum depth (number of layers formed so far) is x and all processed directions are consistent with these x layers.
- When adding a new direction with chain length L, we update dp by distributing how many layers we extend using this direction. Each possible prefix length contributes combinatorially depending on how many existing layers it can support.
- After processing all directions for a center, sum all valid dp states to get the number of constellations centered at C.
We repeat this for every point as center and accumulate the result.
Why it works
