The key observation is that the condition is monotone in a very specific way: if a set is valid, then any subset is also valid. This suggests we are looking for the maximum subset that avoids violating a local constraint.

We reframe the condition per color. For a fixed color, consider its induced graph on the chosen set. The requirement is that this induced graph is connected. Connectivity failure happens exactly when there exists a cut inside the set that separates it into at least two components under that color.

Algorithm Walkthrough

We process each test case independently.

  1. For every color, we build its induced subgraph and compute connected components over the n nodes. We assign each node a component identifier for that color. This is done using BFS or DSU over only edges of that color. The reason we separate by color is that connectivity constraints do not interact across colors except through intersection.

Why it works

For any fixed color, if two nodes lie in different connected components of that color, then no valid set can contain both of them, because the induced subgraph would immediately disconnect in that color.
