The key observation is that instead of thinking in terms of “which longitudes are covered”, we can think in terms of “which longitude intervals are forbidden”. A missing meridian exists if there is at least one longitude that is never intersected by any arc. So the problem becomes finding the union of longitude intervals covered by all arcs on the unit sphere, and checking if this union is the full circle.

Each great-circle arc intersects a contiguous interval of longitudes on the circle of meridians, except when it passes through a pole, in which case it covers all longitudes immediately.
