Instead, we compute a DP on the tree where each node returns the best achievable tradeoff between cost (number of flips) and resulting total affected area inside its subtree, depending on whether it arrives with flipped or unflipped parity from its parent.
Each subtree DP state becomes a collection of Pareto-optimal pairs rather than a single value, because we must track both cost and resulting area.

Algorithm Walkthrough
We first construct the containment forest. For each circle, we identify its parent by checking which other circle contains it with minimal radius. Since n ≤ 2000, an O(n²) check is sufficient.

Why it works

Since every possible flip configuration corresponds to exactly one way of assigning choices in this DP, and every DP transition preserves all feasible combinations, no valid solution is ever excluded. Pruning only removes strictly worse states, so it cannot eliminate a potentially optimal global solution.
